Buyer Trust Policy
ME Market by Mercha Exchange is designed to help shoppers discover approved sellers, small businesses, makers, vendors, service providers, and independent brands.
Buyer trust is important to the ME Market experience. This policy explains how buyer concerns, seller communication, outside purchases, and future ME Market checkout purchases may be handled.
Seller Responsibility
Sellers are responsible for operating their own businesses professionally and honestly.
This includes providing accurate product or service information, clear pricing, responsible fulfillment, timely communication, appropriate customer service, and compliance with applicable laws, taxes, permits, licenses, and regulations.
Sellers are expected to take buyer concerns seriously and make a reasonable effort to resolve issues directly with shoppers.
Outside Seller Purchases
Some sellers may direct shoppers to their own website, shop, social media page, order form, third-party marketplace, or outside checkout link.
If a shopper leaves ME Market and completes a purchase through the seller’s outside checkout, that purchase is made directly between the shopper and the seller.
Mercha Exchange does not process the payment, collect the order, fulfill the order, ship the item, manage returns, or provide customer service for purchases completed outside the ME Market platform.
For outside purchases, shoppers should contact the seller directly with questions about orders, shipping, returns, exchanges, refunds, replacements, or product concerns.
No Mercha Transaction Fee on Outside Sales
If a shopper discovers a seller through ME Market and completes the purchase through the seller’s own website, shop, social page, order form, third-party marketplace, or outside checkout link, Mercha Exchange does not take a transaction fee from that outside sale.
Outside sales are handled directly by the seller.
ME Market Checkout
As ME Market grows, Mercha Exchange may offer optional ME Market checkout for approved sellers who do not have their own online checkout or who want shoppers to purchase directly through the ME Market platform.
ME Market checkout is separate from outside seller checkout.
For sales completed through ME Market checkout, sellers remain responsible for accurate listings, fulfillment, shipping, returns, replacements, exchanges, customer service, and buyer communication unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Contact the Seller First
Shoppers should contact the seller first with any order, shipping, return, replacement, refund, exchange, product, or service concern.
This gives the seller an opportunity to respond, explain, correct, replace, refund, or otherwise resolve the issue directly.
Shoppers should allow the seller a reasonable amount of time to respond, especially outside normal business hours, weekends, holidays, or busy event periods.
When Mercha Exchange May Review an Issue
Mercha Exchange may review a buyer concern if the shopper has attempted to contact the seller and the seller is not responding or is not making a reasonable effort to resolve the issue.
Mercha Exchange may request information from the buyer and seller, including:
Order details
Seller name
Purchase date
Screenshots of communication
Tracking information
Photos of the product or issue
Proof of attempted contact
Seller response, if any
Mercha Exchange may use this information to review the seller’s standing on ME Market.
What Mercha Exchange May Do
Depending on the situation, Mercha Exchange may take action to protect buyer trust and marketplace integrity.
Possible actions may include:
Contacting the seller for more information
Requesting that the seller respond to the buyer
Requesting updated order, tracking, or refund information
Reviewing the seller’s ME Market standing
Pausing the seller’s profile or active listings
Removing featured placement
Limiting seller dashboard access
Removing the seller from ME Market Days consideration
Canceling seller membership
Removing the seller from ME Market
For ME Market checkout purchases, Mercha Exchange may also review whether a refund, payout hold, payout adjustment, or other marketplace action is appropriate based on available information, payment provider rules, platform tools, and seller terms.
What Mercha Exchange Does Not Guarantee
ME Market is designed to support buyer trust, but Mercha Exchange does not guarantee seller performance, product quality, shipping speed, refunds, replacements, returns, buyer satisfaction, or order outcomes.
Mercha Exchange may review concerns and seller conduct, but sellers remain responsible for their own products, services, fulfillment, customer service, and business operations.
Buyer Responsibility
Buyers are responsible for reviewing seller information before making a purchase.
This may include reviewing:
Product or service descriptions
Pricing
Shipping details
Return or exchange policies
Processing times
Seller contact information
Outside checkout policies
Any terms listed by the seller
Buyers should keep receipts, order confirmations, screenshots, messages, and tracking information in case an issue needs to be reviewed.
Marketplace Trust
ME Market depends on trust between shoppers, sellers, and the community.
Sellers are expected to communicate professionally, provide accurate information, fulfill orders responsibly, and resolve valid concerns when possible.
Shoppers are encouraged to communicate respectfully, provide clear information, and contact sellers directly before requesting additional review from Mercha Exchange.
Our Commitment
Mercha Exchange is committed to building ME Market with seller visibility, buyer trust, fair expectations, and community support.
Our goal is to create a marketplace experience where shoppers feel confident discovering sellers and sellers feel supported while operating their own businesses responsibly.
