FAQ

What is ME Market?

ME Market is the seller-facing marketplace by Mercha Exchange. It is being built to help small businesses, makers, creators, vendors, service providers, and independent sellers get discovered online and in person.

Is ME Market the same as Etsy?

No. ME Market is not trying to copy Etsy.

ME Market is being built around seller visibility, seller profiles, website links, market events, fair fees, simple rules, and helping sellers keep more of what they earn.

Does ME Market charge listing fees?

No.

ME Market does not charge sellers a separate listing fee to be included in the seller directory or to have a seller profile as part of their membership.

Our goal is to keep seller costs simple and transparent. Sellers should not have to pay a separate fee every time they want to be seen.

Membership fees, booth fees, optional featured promotions, sponsorship opportunities, and future ME Market checkout fees may apply depending on what a seller chooses to use, but ME Market does not charge a separate listing fee.

Do sellers need their own website?

No, but it helps.

Sellers who already have a website, shop, social page, or order form can link shoppers directly to it through their ME Market seller profile.

Sellers who do not have their own checkout may have future options to use ME Market checkout if they want additional selling support.

Does Mercha Exchange take a fee from sales made on a seller’s own website?

No.

If a shopper discovers a seller through ME Market and completes the purchase through the seller’s own website, shop, social page, or order page, Mercha Exchange does not take a transaction fee from that outside sale.

Your website. Your sale. You keep more.

When would Mercha Exchange charge a transaction fee?

A transaction fee may apply in the future if a seller chooses to use ME Market checkout to sell directly through the Mercha Exchange platform.

This option would be for sellers who do not have their own online checkout or who want to process sales directly through ME Market. Any transaction fee would be clearly explained before the seller chooses to use ME Market checkout.

Are there any surprise fees not mentioned?

No.

Mercha Exchange is being built around fair, simple, and transparent pricing. Sellers should know what they are paying for before they join, participate in an event, or choose any optional service.

ME Market does not charge separate listing fees, and Mercha Exchange does not take a transaction fee from sales completed through a seller’s own outside website, shop, social page, or order page.

Possible costs may include membership fees, booth fees for ME Market Days, optional featured promotions, sponsorship opportunities, or future ME Market checkout transaction fees if a seller chooses to use ME Market checkout.

If additional paid services become available in the future, they will be clearly explained before a seller chooses to use them.

Who handles shipping, refunds, and customer service?

For purchases completed on a seller’s own website, shop, social page, order form, or outside platform, the seller handles checkout, shipping, fulfillment, refunds, returns, exchanges, and customer service.

Mercha Exchange may review unresolved buyer concerns as part of our Buyer Trust Policy, but outside purchases are managed directly by the seller.

What are ME Market Days?

ME Market Days are planned pop-up marketplace events created to help sellers connect with shoppers in person, display their products or services, and grow local visibility.

These events are part of the Mercha Exchange mission of connecting creativity, commerce, and community.

Do members get discounted booth pricing?

Eligible ME Market members may receive discounted booth pricing and early access to ME Market Days, depending on their membership level, event availability, and vendor approval.

Does membership guarantee sales?

No.

ME Market helps create visibility and opportunity, but sales are not guaranteed. Results may vary based on product type, pricing, photos, customer demand, seller communication, market participation, and outside promotion.

What kind of sellers can join ME Market?

ME Market is designed for small businesses, makers, creators, vendors, service providers, and independent sellers.

This may include handmade goods, apparel, jewelry, candles, home décor, art, food or treats when properly permitted, beauty and wellness products, services, and other small-business offerings that meet ME Market standards.

Can sellers challenge prices, fees, or rules?

Yes.

Mercha Exchange wants sellers to feel heard. Seller feedback, questions, and concerns about pricing, fees, rules, membership benefits, and market opportunities are welcome.

As ME Market grows, our goal is to remain transparent, fair, and open to seller input.

How do I become a seller?

Complete the Become a Founding Seller form. Mercha Exchange will review your information and follow up with next steps, membership details, and upcoming market opportunities.
