ME Market by Mercha Exchange helps shoppers discover approved sellers, small businesses, makers, vendors, service providers, and independent brands.

Some sellers may direct shoppers to their own website, shop, social media page, order form, third-party marketplace, or outside checkout link to complete a purchase.

Outside Seller Purchases

If a shopper leaves ME Market and completes a purchase through a seller’s own website, shop, social page, order form, third-party marketplace, or outside checkout link, that purchase is made directly between the shopper and the seller.

Mercha Exchange does not process the payment, collect the order, fulfill the order, ship the item, manage returns, or provide customer service for purchases completed outside the ME Market platform.

No Mercha Transaction Fee on Outside Sales

If a shopper discovers a seller through ME Market and completes the purchase through the seller’s outside checkout, Mercha Exchange does not take a transaction fee from that outside sale.

Seller Responsibility

For purchases completed outside ME Market, the seller is responsible for:

Checkout and payment processing
Shipping and fulfillment
Tracking information
Returns and exchanges
Refunds and replacements
Customer service
Product descriptions and pricing
Order questions
Business policies
Taxes, permits, licenses, and legal compliance

Shoppers should review the seller’s website, shop policies, return policies, shipping information, and contact details before completing a purchase outside ME Market.

ME Market Checkout

As ME Market grows, Mercha Exchange may offer optional ME Market checkout for approved sellers who do not have their own online checkout or who want shoppers to purchase directly through the ME Market platform.

ME Market checkout is separate from outside seller checkout.

For sales completed through ME Market checkout, the planned transaction fee is 5%. This fee is intended to help cover credit card/payment processing costs, platform costs, checkout costs, and operational expenses associated with processing marketplace transactions.

The ME Market checkout transaction fee only applies to sales completed through ME Market checkout. It does not apply to outside seller sales.

Buyer Issues

For purchases completed outside ME Market, shoppers should contact the seller directly with questions about orders, shipping, returns, exchanges, refunds, replacements, or product concerns.

If a shopper has attempted to resolve an issue with a seller and the seller is not responding or is not making a reasonable effort to resolve the concern, Mercha Exchange may review the seller’s standing on ME Market.

Mercha Exchange may take action if a seller repeatedly fails to communicate, provides misleading information, receives unresolved complaints, or harms buyer trust.

Marketplace Trust

ME Market is designed to help shoppers discover sellers while helping sellers gain visibility.

Mercha Exchange expects sellers to communicate professionally, provide accurate information, fulfill orders responsibly, and take buyer trust seriously.

While Mercha Exchange may review seller conduct and marketplace standing, Mercha Exchange is not responsible for outside purchases completed away from the ME Market platform.
