ME Market by Mercha Exchange is built to help small businesses, makers, creators, vendors, service providers, and independent sellers get discovered online and in person.
To protect buyers, sellers, the community, and the reputation of ME Market, certain items may not be listed, promoted, displayed, or sold through Mercha Exchange, ME Market, ME Market Days, or related marketplace opportunities.
Counterfeit or Unauthorized Goods
Sellers may not list, promote, display, or sell counterfeit, fake, replica, or unauthorized branded products.
This includes items that use another company’s name, logo, design, trademark, or brand identity in a misleading or unauthorized way.
Examples may include fake designer bags, counterfeit apparel, unauthorized branded accessories, or products that appear to misrepresent the original brand.
Stolen or Misrepresented Goods
Sellers may not list, promote, display, or sell stolen goods, suspicious goods, or items they do not have the legal right to sell.
Sellers are responsible for accurately representing the source, condition, and authenticity of their products.
Illegal, Unsafe, or Harmful Items
Sellers may not list, promote, display, or sell items that are illegal, unsafe, hazardous, or harmful.
This may include items that violate federal, state, local, venue, or event rules.
Sellers are responsible for knowing and following the laws, permits, licenses, and regulations that apply to their products or services.
Misleading Products or Claims
Sellers may not make false, exaggerated, or misleading claims about their products or services.
This includes claims related to health, safety, performance, results, materials, origin, quality, or authenticity.
Product descriptions, photos, pricing, and advertising should be honest and clear.
Intellectual Property Violations
Sellers may not use copyrighted, trademarked, or protected materials without permission.
This includes unauthorized use of:
Brand names
Logos
Characters
Artwork
Photos
Designs
Slogans
Phrases
Music
Sports team names or logos
College or school logos
Celebrity names or likenesses
Sellers are responsible for making sure they have the legal right to sell or promote their products.
Unpermitted Food or Regulated Products
Food, baked goods, beverages, skincare, wellness products, body products, and other regulated items may require permits, licenses, labeling, insurance, or special approval.
Sellers are responsible for meeting all legal, health, safety, labeling, and permit requirements before selling these items through ME Market or at ME Market Days.
Mercha Exchange may request documentation when needed.
Offensive, Hateful, or Harmful Content
Sellers may not list, promote, display, or sell items that include hateful, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, extremist, or intentionally harmful content.
Mercha Exchange reserves the right to deny or remove items that harm the trust, safety, or community-centered purpose of ME Market.
Adult, Explicit, or Highly Sensitive Items
Mercha Exchange may restrict or deny adult, explicit, graphic, or highly sensitive products or services depending on the nature of the item, event, audience, venue, and marketplace standards.
ME Market is intended to remain welcoming, professional, family-conscious, and community-friendly.
Weapons, Dangerous Goods, or Restricted Items
Sellers may not list, promote, display, or sell weapons, dangerous goods, restricted items, or items requiring special legal handling unless explicitly reviewed and approved by Mercha Exchange and allowed by law, venue rules, and event requirements.
Mercha Exchange may deny these items at its discretion.
Services That Require Licensing
Sellers offering professional services are responsible for holding any required licenses, certifications, permits, or insurance related to their work.
This may apply to areas such as beauty, wellness, health, finance, legal, childcare, food service, or other regulated services.
Marketplace Review
Mercha Exchange reserves the right to review seller products, services, listings, photos, event displays, and promotional materials.
If an item or service does not meet ME Market standards, Mercha Exchange may take action, including:
Requesting changes
Removing a listing
Pausing seller visibility
Denying event participation
Removing products from an event display
Canceling seller participation
Reviewing or canceling membership
Removing a seller from ME Market
Seller Responsibility
Sellers are responsible for understanding and following all laws, rules, permits, licenses, and rights related to the products or services they offer.
Approval to join ME Market does not mean Mercha Exchange has verified every legal, safety, licensing, or intellectual property requirement related to a seller’s business.
Our Goal
This policy is not meant to restrict honest sellers unnecessarily.
It exists to protect the trust of buyers, the reputation of sellers, and the long-term integrity of ME Market.
