Seller Standards

ME Market by Mercha Exchange is built to help small businesses, makers, creators, vendors, service providers, and independent sellers get discovered online and in person.

We believe sellers deserve fair fees, simple rules, real visibility, and more room to keep what they earn. At the same time, trust matters. These Seller Standards are designed to protect sellers, buyers, and the reputation of ME Market as it grows.

Honest Product and Service Information

Sellers are expected to represent their products and services clearly and honestly.

Seller listings, product photos, descriptions, pricing, availability, and business information should be accurate and not misleading. Sellers should avoid exaggerating claims, misrepresenting products, or using photos that do not fairly represent what buyers will receive.

Professional Communication

Sellers are expected to communicate with buyers in a timely, respectful, and professional manner.

If a buyer has a question, concern, or order issue, the seller is responsible for making a reasonable effort to respond and resolve the matter directly.

Poor communication, repeated ignored messages, rude behavior, or unprofessional conduct may affect a seller’s standing on ME Market.

Seller Responsibility for Outside Sales

Some sellers may link shoppers to their own website, shop, social page, or order form.

Purchases completed outside of Mercha Exchange or ME Market are handled directly by the seller. Sellers are responsible for their own checkout process, payments, fulfillment, shipping, refunds, returns, exchanges, customer service, and business policies.

Mercha Exchange does not take a transaction fee from purchases completed through a seller’s own outside website, shop, or order page.

Buyer Trust and Accountability

Sellers are expected to take buyer trust seriously.

If a buyer contacts a seller about an issue, the seller should make a reasonable effort to respond, review the concern, and provide a fair resolution when appropriate.

If a buyer has attempted to resolve an issue directly with a seller and has not received a response or reasonable resolution, Mercha Exchange may review the concern and take action regarding the seller’s standing on ME Market.

Prohibited or Restricted Items

Sellers may not list, promote, display, or sell items that are counterfeit, stolen, illegal, unsafe, misleading, or harmful to the reputation of ME Market.

Mercha Exchange may remove seller listings, pause seller visibility, deny event participation, or remove a seller from the platform if products or conduct violate marketplace standards.

Intellectual Property and Originality

Sellers are responsible for making sure they have the right to sell, display, or promote the products, artwork, designs, logos, names, photos, and content they use.

Sellers should not use copyrighted, trademarked, or protected materials without permission. This includes brand names, logos, characters, artwork, phrases, images, or designs owned by someone else.

Event Behavior

Sellers participating in ME Market Days or other Mercha Exchange events are expected to be respectful, prepared, and professional.

Sellers should arrive on time, maintain a clean and safe booth area, treat shoppers and other sellers respectfully, follow event rules, and comply with any venue, permit, insurance, tax, or setup requirements.

Product Quality and Fulfillment

Sellers are responsible for the quality, condition, and fulfillment of the products or services they offer.

This includes packaging, delivery, pickup arrangements, custom order details, order timelines, and any promises made to buyers.

If a seller accepts payment for a product or service, the seller is responsible for fulfilling that order or providing a fair resolution according to their stated policies.

Seller Profile Accuracy

Sellers are responsible for keeping their ME Market profile information accurate and up to date.

This includes business name, website links, social links, product categories, photos, service area, contact information, and any information shared with shoppers through ME Market.

Marketplace Action

Mercha Exchange reserves the right to review seller activity and take action when needed to protect buyers, sellers, and the marketplace community.

This may include:

Seller warning
Request for updated information
Temporary pause of seller profile
Removal of featured placement
Loss of market/event privileges
Removal from ME Market Days
Removal from ME Market
Membership review or cancellation

Our Goal

ME Market is designed to support sellers, not restrict them unnecessarily.

These standards exist to protect the trust that makes the marketplace work. When sellers communicate honestly, treat buyers well, and take accountability for their business, everyone benefits.

Sellers are the heart of ME Market.

Trust is what helps that heart grow.
